VBS2 VTK (VBS2 Toolkit) is a developer and integration toolkit for Bohemia Interactive’s VBS2 military training and simulation platform. It provides APIs, plug-in interfaces, and connectivity options to extend VBS2, embed its visuals, and integrate it with external systems and devices.
Key capabilities typically include support for distributed simulation protocols (such as DIS and HLA), real-time control of entities, sensors, and cameras, terrain and scenario management, data recording and playback for after-action review, and I/O integration for simulator hardware. Organizations use VBS2 VTK to build custom training applications, instructor/operator control stations, and full-mission simulator components that leverage VBS2’s virtual environment.
